TEN QUESTIONS: Lola Cortez

1: Who was your favorite wrestler growing up?

LC: “Since I’m still south of 21, for me, growing up wasn’t too long ago. Of course, I always loved watching the Slammer. But Kate Powers and Kimmy Carmack had a lot of influence on me. But I think it was watching Shelly the Bod 3 years ago is what influenced me to finally give pro wrestling a try.”

2: What is your favorite food?

LC: “Either pizza or Cookies n’ Cream ice cream!”

3. If you could face any celebrity of your choice, who would it be and why?

LC: “Right now, I think I’d love to kick Donald Trump’s butt for the entire Mexican-American nation!”

4: Who has been your toughest opponent so far?

LC: “Easily would have to be Zoey Starfire! I’ve faced her twice and lost both times. She’s so much stronger than she looks and she’s really well trained. The Slammer taught me that whenever I’m lucky enough to face such a quality competitor, always give props to the ones who trained her. Zoey’s trainers must be as good as it gets.”

5: So far, what would you consider to be your biggest victory and your worse defeat?

LC: “My biggest victory has to be against Carmen Romero because nobody (including myself) thought I had a prayer against her. I know Carmen’s been wanting a re-match and I will be glad to face her again.”

“My toughest loss was probably to Kendra Hawk. I know I’ve had what some would consider to be bigger losses, but the loss to Kendra could have been avoided had I just been a little smarter. I know Kendra and I will meet again soon, and I can assure you that I will not make that same mistake twice.”

6: On your dream date, you’re sitting at a quiet, intimate dinner with……?

LC: “Harry Styles!!! Nuff said!!!”

7: Who are you favorite and least favorite Diva Dolls?

LC: “It’s hard to pick one because I like just about everyone. Abeela’s my best friend so if I didn’t mention her she’d most likely kick my butt. I’m also close to Kendra, Lucy Mendoza, Slamela Anderson and both Clemons sisters. We’re kind of a young click backstage but we all get along with just about everyone.”

“My least favorite is hard because I at least get along and respect everyone. Sometimes I think Coco Savoy shouldn’t talk so much because it’s rubs a lot of people the wrong way. She can be really nice and I’m worried that a lot of people miss that because of her attitude sometimes.”

“While I totally respect Shaznay Jewel’s accomplishments both here in the States as well as Europe, and I respect that she’s the current Western Territory Impact champion, I don’t respect that she resorts to cheating sometimes to win. Every time she rakes someone’s eyes or bites her opponent to keep from being pinned, I get so furious that I want to give her a butt-kicking she’ll never forget.”

8: What’s your favorite movie?

LC: “Titanic!! I’m a fan of old movies!”

9: Who is your biggest role model?

LC: “Both my parents! They raised me to be a strong Mexican-American woman. Both of my parents were born in Mexico and worked so hard to provide for my sisters and I. So every time I step inside the ring, a huge part of my Corazon’ is in there fighting for the two of them.”

10: As a fan, who would your dream GPWW match be between?

LC: “I’m gotta go with the match I think most fans want to see and that’s King Priscilla vs Shelly the Bod! Two of the strongest women in the sport facing off inside the ring….I don’t think there’s an arena in the world that could contain it!!”
